We all know that a weed is just a plant growing in the wrong place. However, sometimes the wrong plant in the wrong place can become a serious problem. From Injurious weeds that can cause human and animal harm to Invasive species that can seriously affect our natural flora and fauna - there are plenty of ‘problem plants’ out there.
But with serious problems come expert solutions! Our team have the expertise, knowledge and relevant qualifications to deal with your weed problem. We can offer the following services:
Prevention -
Many injurious weeds can be successfully controlled through prevention. from grazing practises to careful plant selection. We can offer advice on many ‘problem’ solutions.
Manual Removal -
Most species of injurious and invasive weeds can be controlled manually. From manually removing the plant to carefully timed cutting disturbing some species at the right time with the right method is enough to control them.
Chemical Control -
Chemical control is always a last resort - some species will only respond to herbicide treatment or when an infestation is so great it becomes the only viable option. Chemical use is assessed on a case-by-case basis and we will always ensure only an appropriate approved herbicide is used. Low impact application wherever possible for example: Spot spraying, stem injection and the use of adjuvants- rather than blanket treatments. Allowing us to reduce the dose rates of chemicals applied.
